MightySprocket Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 Hi Ben, one is the original Mex GT, lightened and balanced with 1300 pistons and I wanna keep that as its the block from the original car. The one I am building at the moment is 1700, stage 2 head, BCF3 cam and 40's, not sure on HP, I suppose 120 isn't out of reach. But I'm thinkin a Hot Pinto might be better, JEMS are doing a good deal for a short motor at the moment, 2.1 i think, I will source a head and cam myself. Anyone used JEM at all or heard anything about them?

Sounded like a knowledgeable guy and was keen to be helpful but I guess you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I don't know anyone that's bought one from him how about going through his feedback and sending the question to someone who has?

Machine work on the engines is very good, a 2.1 bottom end with one of his BVH heads, a kent FR33 cam, twin 45's etc made 178 bhp with good torque. I can't recommend them enough, when you call mention Scottish Old Skool Escorts and Martin & Craig recommended you. Martin" Thats all the recomendation I need
