looking at the cover of the latest classic ford mag reminded me of an rs3100 capri I saw years ogo . It was the same colour as the one on the mag. There was an old quarry near me that was used as a car dump and I remember seeing this old capri with the gold stripes on it . There was no engine or wheels but the interior was all there. I didnt find out till years later what it was but if I had known then I would have taken it away. There was also a new unused mk5 cortine shell with a rusted out rear parcel shelf amongst the heaps of old cars.

I think there is a few people on here that wish to turn back time including me.

I owned cars that would have been worth a fortune now and just took it for granted how easy it was to buy them.

Also the amount of spares that Lead foot owned that just got "thrown away"

Ye time machines would be a great invention, looked through some of my archives of classic fords from the late 90's, mk2 RS2000's for under £2k, mint 4 doors going for 600 quid etc, my grandad had a mk2 1300l 2 door escort but when he died i.t was scapped, that was back in '94 I think

as soon as you get talking to people about old fords , they can't belive the price they're going for now . The amount of stories i've heard of mint mk1/2 escorts going for £50 it makes you sick :D

I had a 2 door mk1 escort I bought from a local breaker for 45 quid with 2 months mot . It was an 1100 and I put white Mexico stripes on it with aerosol cans. Sold it for 25 quid . WTF What was I thinking, I wish I still had that car now not so much because of what there worth now but because it ended up as a field car and was burned out in the end.
