sambo Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 Bloody hell. The guy on the phone said that it was in ok condition. He said that the wings were a little worse for wear..... It was a MK2 Escort. The door skins were hanging off, the sills had several holes in it, the scuttle plate was kafooked, the rear arches were gone, it was just bloody full of holes. Why couldn't he of told me that on the phone instead of me and my dad having to travel to see it. What a waste of time and a blatent bullshitter on the phone!
GJUK Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 One careful owner from new, garaged 24/7 and only used in the dry. 12 month MOT and in very very good condition for the age.
sarkie83 Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 seems to happen a lot - rarely are cars ever as good as they are described!
Stu_B Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I've tried to describe my Anglia honestly in the ad, probably made it sound worse than it is. I think its put people off
caprinerd Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 htere`s loads out there i went from norwich to bognor regis and it was a total shed still nice drive out
jimihendrix Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I hate that , the label "timewaster" is automaticaly assumed the buyer but the seller can be just as guilty, especially when you've traveled to see a misdescribed heap. I hate the "Good condition FOR YEAR", it's either in good condition or it's not Also hate "Needs TLC", thats either a quick wash or a full three year ground up resto, usually the later
