pinto turbo???

Hi all, basicly i spotted a really smart mk2 at the pod today (classic ford show) and it was running a pinto turbo. im not sure how this would work as im thinking about it for my pop. any hlep and advise would be much appriciated. many thanks aaron.

It ran perfect on the way home. Thanx to Gordy for furnishing me with the knowledge that the carb is from a Renault 5 GT turbo and it needs to run at a higher fuel rate. Cranked it up and away she blows psssht

hello the nato green mk2 is my car,i work at g.s escorts,i managed a 14.4 on low boost,i turned the boost up an the alternator belt turned its self inside out just before my run which put an end to the day,hopefully get into the 13s next time,thanks for the comments

you was told the full spec on the engine pip, so you know its running a r5 solex!!!!!
