Muppetboy Posted June 26, 2010 Report Posted June 26, 2010 Hi chap, each to their own and all that.. I suppose it's not about whether it can retain it's id more whether it's still a '72' RS. I understand the whole restored verse og debate but I do believe your car takes it to another level, almost beyond auto culture and into art?? Haven't seen your car in the flesh (unless it was the one on the AVO stand at Birmingham last year) but would love to have a poke around it someday. I'm very lucky to own a mostly orginal AVO car, unmolested and covered in 35 years and 45000 miles of history. (The VW guys call it patina, Ford guys call it scabby ) Don't think I'd swap but hey as I said each to their own I'll be Joining the AVO club in a couple of weeks (about time after 15 years of ownership) so maybe we'll catch up someday at some shows. Peace and all that
GJUK Posted June 26, 2010 Author Report Posted June 26, 2010 I told the garage that's doing my car that I want all my screw heads facing the right way up and he nearly hit me
