Dom Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 A reply with relevance that is. How do you get 2.8 inserts out of the struts?
Chris! Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 i think theres a special tool you need to unscre the cap then they should pull out, theres one on ebay at the mo (i think )
bomber1 Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 theres a bolt u undo at the bottom by the hub as well
Dom Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 Cheers guys. It was just the 2 nuts on the bottom and they pretty much slid out. I was under the impression I might have to give 'em abit of a yank so I nearly fell on my arse with a big grease smear across me t shirt. I've looked the inserts over and they're peachy but the threaded tubes and spring seats are knackered. Wheres the best place to buy the tubes and stuff, Rally Design? cheers
Wessie Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 i would say rally design never had any problems with them
erick Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 When you replace the inserts make sure to use a small amount of light oil in the strut casing, this is to help dissapate the heat through the casing.
