Hi mate, plumb the fuel system like this:

Take a facet, low pressure pump and use this to draw fuel from the outlet of your fuel tank to the third from the top inlet of the swirl pot. Use a low pressure filter between the tank and pump though.

The fitting at the lowest point on the swirl pot is your main feed to the engine. From here, you'll use a pre-pump filter (injection H/P), into the injection pump. And after the pump use a post pump filter (injection H/P).

This line will then go to your fuel rail and then into a high pressure regulator.

From this regulator you'll need to go back to the swirl pot.

Use the second from the top fitting for this.

The fitting at the very top of the swirl pot is the over flow and this will need to be returned back to your fuel tank.

I think thats everything mate.

Good luck.

hi ive had it all running with two pumps a facet ticker pump from the tank

and a high pressure cossy pump to the engine

i took it to germany and the ticker pump packed up so im only running

the high pressure one at the mo

what would be the best low pressure pump to use from the tank

Well Facet pumps are most of the time very reliable. Have several Capri's running them for years now ( genuine red tops ) and never had issues with them.

Once in a while i clean the fuel filter they carry inside them but as I run a throw away filter between the tank and pump also there's not much to find in the inside filter.

I was warned for the cheap "so called" red tops from other brands.

does any one no what pressure fuel pump would be best

from fuel tank to swirl pot

a 4.0-4.5psi silver top facet

a 6.5-7.25psi red top facet

I think you are going to need volume rather than pressure but would rather go with the more powerful of the two to be sure

Anyone will be fine mate as they do chuck a lot of fuel through. Get a decent make and it will be reliable.

 Facet red-top is what i'm using.
