got to admit its a good idea, some people will buy it just to boost thier rating and he gets paid for doing/selling/posting nothing

only prob is someone will start on ebay new, probably a scammer, buy £10 of feedback, so they look like a trustworthy buyer/seller, then rip someone off

From a business point it's genius. But it makes a mockery of the ratings on ebay, if it's not mocked already!

If you buy something do you leave feedback for them even if they not left it for you??

 

My theory is that when you complete checkout and send payment via paypal your part of the transaction is complete and feedback should be left,,,, then you leave feed back when you recieve goods and are happy with thier service.?

 

so many times do i get messages from the seller asking for good feedback which i agree is deserved but i ask them "WHERES MINE??"

i find alot of people arnt bothered about leaving feedback like it used to be

 

thats as either buyer or seller

 

i leave feedback once ive recieved mine and i always send a message to buyers saying ill leave positive feedback once i know youre happy with the trasaction

Ebay automatically generate those emails so they dont come from the seller and the seller has no option in if their sent or not, although they are made to look like a seller request, which as a seller pisses me off no end, it gives the buyer the idea that your putting pressure on them and could result in bad feedback, so its another own goal from ebay there.

 

I dont leave feedback on sales unless the buyer leaves it for me, a lot of people dont want the world seeing what they bought and the whole feedback system is facrcicle now that sellers cant leave negatives, the amount of people I get who try to get a part refund on what they have bought with the threat of bad feedback is unbelievable, dispite me being totally honest with the discription and taking extra pics which go through photobucket so they are screensize when the page is opened clearly showing item condition.

 

I send stuff worldwide and the worst out of the lot are the English, since the feedback system was changed you cant send anything out untracked due to scammers saying they havent got it and doing chargebacks through paypal or sending a different item back for a refund,including the member on another Ford forum who returned a set of Billies claiming the inserts were knackered (expensive items I send out are marked with a clear marker that shows up under ultraviolet light just incase ), despite filling in all the paypal forms he got his money back plus the postage costs so he ended up paying 20 odd quid (return postage) to swap his knackered legs for a decent set and I get to swallow the cost of it, cheers then...
