Ok as alot of you know the site runs the OSFDC and is great day out, fun and time to meet other members and give your car a proper thrash,Anyway my point is this year apart from the regulars the attendance has been very poor indeed ,and there are hundreds if not a few thousand on this site that have a car eligable to come and have a go.

It would be nice to see a few more entrants for the last 2 rounds to make the numbers up,and as allways the event is covered by Classic Ford magazine so the chance to get a pic of your car in the mag and gives the photographers something different to look at

 

Well thats it really its not a rant just thought i would see if some others would be intersted ,,all details are in the OLD SKOOL FORD DRAG section

The thing is you dont have to be fast to compete as said before a 950 fiesta can finish in the top 3 ,thats how fair the handicap system works,so no excuses lets see a good turnout

I,ve only managed 1 round this year as the house needed a makeover and some cash thrown at it which has left funds a little low but i ,m hoping to make the next one as since i,ve overhauled the top end and raised the cr i,m sure i could knock at least a second off of my Pb as the car really does feel so much quicker than its ever been,much faster and i,d need a G suit to drive it

im gonna be out next year again for a few of the meetings ,

 

but now i have got a yard and starting to build a stock up of bangers im gonna be concentrating racing oval again alot more as thats where my love is i enjoy a crash and the competition , but by all means if anyone is up for coming out and doing a meeting or two next year with me and having a bash at a bit of national banger racing then come out n play

Unfortunately most of the regular competitors in the OSFDC are southern based and we tried a meeting at York Dragway last year and apart from the few hardcore racers that went the turnout was very poor
