I think it is the round ones, another quality story by the Sun (no pun intended). The Nuclear processes going on inside a star are completely random and you can't predict what they are going to do in 3 hours time let alone 3 years. And even if there is one, there it is more likely that it will be in a direction that isn't towards us.
