GT_lenny Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 can a reliable, usuble osf be had for less than £1k be found, i'm not looking yet but i'd consider it, anyone running a cheapie osf for a daily?
stevepeanut Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I'd say mk5 cortina, you can pick up a really good one for under £1000. I ran a capri 2.0 laser for a year as a daily and it never let me down, it only cost £400, but they are getting more pricey. Guess after that its early fiestas.
Fiesta Steve Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I paid £1000 for my 1300 Sport, it was rust free and have been using it daily for the last 5 years with no probs, I'd happily drive it to the moon!! Best bit is nearly all parts are still easy to get
over_head_cam Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I'd say a Fezza every time Cheap to buy, cheap to run and cheap to fix. And a proper laugh to chuck around
zetecmk2 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 kooltina cost £250 a couple of years ago......she was diffrent then though! just look about...they are out there

grifterkid Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 You might find a nice Mk2 Granada well within your price range on eBay... They are the ultimate all day luxo-cruiser...
GT_lenny Posted October 14, 2010 Author Report Posted October 14, 2010 yes , with tax and test already had more than a couple of visits to your ad mate funds wont allow anything till at least early 2011
lee_capri Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 its cost me over a ton to fix it but least i still have it mate, but their is loads out their for less then a grand or a grand i get most of mine form ebay or pistion heads or just calling on them, but you have to be prepaired to spend money some times on the old girl, my limo cost me a grand with 10 months test on it but ive spent around £1500 on it so far and used it three times, hope to get it back soon the engine is all in and sounding sweet just waiting on the guy to finish but i cant complaine about it as it is a garage and he is helping me out
bortaf Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 obv it is my 2.3 GhiaS is still up for a grand, mot moved since the MOT (10 months left) only thing at 18 round town and high 20s on a run it aint really a daily unless you like the till doris at the local petrol station
lee_capri Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 erm nice 20 to the gallion if i didnt already have one though http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-GRANADA-MK-2 ... 255d921254
grifterkid Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 That stretched Granada is a complete bloody bargain... Sure as damn it beats a modern, and bloody bland, people carrier!!! All it needs are a couple of tweaks here and there to make it look really boss... I hope somebody gets it before it gets used for something race/oval related...
lee_capri Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 thats cheap buddy ive got one as a family car
