my family have always had fords and always will. they gone through the years to keep with the times

my dad always told me about his first car was a mk1 escort me being into boy racer cars i had no idea what he was on about :thumbsup:

the one day he spotted classic ford in a news agents with a mk1 on the cover and showed me. i had the mag looke through and had every issue since. i was interested from then but what really got conviced me and got me completely hooked was the history of the ford escort film that was on men and motors about a week after seeing the cf mag :D:thumbsup:

always been a Ford fan. My first street legal car in 1967 was a 1953 E93A Popular. Started buying 100Es after that and first modified car was a 100E Squire Estate. Kept the flat 4 but decked the head, overbore with Hepolite pistons and converted crank to shell bearings, 4 branch manifold from Downton and a single solex carb of a 2.4 MKI Jag. 4 speed 105E box. Lowered 2 inches all round and 5.5J wheels. Those were the days! Not so easy to upgrade brakes in those days so used commercial rated fluid and drove in big boots!

I got back into old fords because of lager and gambling and laying off them
