I was on the first commitee of the SEOC and we helped the mag to put it on at Cheltenham Racecoarse over the August Bank holiday. It was great fun to be there early and to stay late after all the punters had left.Plenty of time to wander around after hours looking at all the cars.Still remember being stopped by security one evening and getting a right ear bashing for "spirited driving" after going out for a curry and a pint.

At the time I had a Mk1 Escort estate with a 1650 crossflow,Capri front suspension, turreted and tramped rear end, roll cage,Alleycats...ahhh!!! they were the days.

Anybody else remember the first one???

You're showing your age there Pete. I was 16 so hadn't passed my test. I used to get Practical Classics at the time with a view to getting a Morris Minor when I passed my test. To date, I've never owned one.
