ExotronGammaPlusSequencer Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 if somone could photoshop some 7x13's back on it please it will look even better Nobody mentioned 7x 13s though Gaz,if they were in the poll id have voted for them
ratman Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 leave the 15's for the big brakes and turbo brigade as they've got no choice ( or taste !!!!!! ) Oi what about the 17's then
BaileyMex Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I'd normally say the 4 spokes, but they do kinda look different
petrolhead01 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 its a tough choice and ultimatly its up to you , but im with the minority and say compos!!! dare to be different!!
james p Posted January 18, 2007 Author Report Posted January 18, 2007 as the poll is basicly a 50/50 im guna offer the wheels up if some one buys em ill do something else with the money i paid just under £200 for thease wheels they are all in good order but could do with a refurb as the paint is bubleing, all 4 tires are good any one want to make me an offer close to £200 ?
RUSTYPUP Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Get them compos on there. Nice to see somebody choosing something other than the 'favourites' that everybody is running
Daveyboy20 Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Id say RS, not too keen on the compos and also they seem a lot of hassel and you dont wanna raise the car it looks great as it is. Sell em and use the money somewhere else..
Guest MK1gaz Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Sell em to the turbo brigade over on the turbosport forum mate , they've got no taste
Mk 1 Mark Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Sell em to the turbo brigade over on the turbosport forum mate , they've got no taste As B.A would say...You Crazy fool
deluxe Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 with 50 profiles you need 15" to get the circumference the suspension geometry is designed around. And they look less lost under the arches
james p Posted January 18, 2007 Author Report Posted January 18, 2007 Sell em to the turbo brigade over on the turbosport forum mate , they've got no taste i like em thats why i bought em but i dont have the money to lay out fittin em at the mo so if i can sell em ill play with outher things n buy some more at a later date

ratman Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Defo go for the compos Be different!! WHY IS EVEYONE SH!T SCARED OF BREAKING THE MOLD Just because ford never fitted different wheels don’t mean you cant Its your car for fook sake Fords never put fire breathing cossy or XE's in but no one bats an eye lid when anyone pop the bonnet to find one fitted When Jo public see's an old ford weather its a mk1/2 escort any of the 5 cortinas ,105E or 100E its a old ford be it a minter or a sh!tter they don’t stand there debating whether its got the right rim's or not Take puddys mk2 cortina 500bhp + cossy engine 17" modern alloys and L/H/D Now that’s about as different ias you can get to any other OSF And good on him as it’s as cool as fook But to Jo public its a red/gold mk2 cortina ARRRRR rant over

Guest MK1gaz Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 He means all the people with taste only fit 13's on them
RUSTYPUP Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I know, lets all fit 13's to our cars. Maybe we could all agree on a colour all our cars should be too.
Guest MK1gaz Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Any period colour will do mate , i'll leave all the special effect pearl orange metalflakes and 17 inch chrome spinning rims to the youngsters who think that's how a car looks good . People may moan and groan about most of the oldskool cars running on 13 inch rims still , but the truth is that they just look and drive so much better with them . Fads will come and go but some things will never change , 13 inch wheels being one of them Proper oldskool
RUSTYPUP Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I was just beginning to think I'd found a place where me and my car fitted in. I didn't realise I was going to be shunned for running period 14" wheels and custom paintwork.
Guest MK1gaz Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I'm not shunning it mate , i just don't see why people moan about classic colours and wheels all the time just because their cars got the lastest trends on it that's all
RUSTYPUP Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I'm not shunning it mate , i just don't see why people moan about classic colours and wheels all the time just because their cars got the lastest trends on it that's all Don't know if you mean Compos are the latest trend or my American racing mags, but can't say as I've seen a glut of either. Or maybe we are about to be overrun by super trendy flamed Cortinas. The latest trend IS 4 spoke rs or superlights.
