When removing the dash on a mark.3 Capri and in particular when you have detached the oil pressure pipe it is a good idea to lift it up and block it before starting the engine ...... As you will guess ...... i didnt!!!! :? . Yep, you find that oil leaks all over your lovely interior is a bit of a pain to try get cleaned up! Doh. :roll:

could be worse m8 mates oil presure pipe came off while he was flying up the m1 and the 1st he new about it was when the rather warm oil flowed in to his sock lmao

at least your drivers floor panwont rot in a hurry! and yes i have done it as well on my mk1 escort :oops:

Thanks all, nice to know .... least i'm not the only one!!!! lol. Hopefully nothing more than a shed load of kitchen roll (car!) and a few beers (me! lol) won't fix !!!! :beer: . Although, watch this space !!!!!

Lol, i've done it twice. The first time I got oil squirted in my face and the second time it hit the exhaust manifold an caught fire!!

in my defence cortinas don't usually come with em, although to make it worse i fitted it ! :lol::lol:
