jimrobson Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 i got a parking ticket earlier and dont believe it ws very fair. firstly there is not a before and after photograph, they also only gave me 8 minutes before they ticketed me and i dont believe the pictures were good enough qaulity any thorts because i dont really want to stump up 50 quid (student) any help appricaiated

If it's a council traffic womble then you'll just have to pay for a easy life. There is a good forum on this, the name escapes me however. Google "oh crap parking ticket help no pay" and I'm sure you'll find some help and the forum I speak of, it has a weird name like pieco or picco or something...

They are an unenforcible private contract between the 'landowner' and the 'driver'. It's not a fine, it's a charge which you didn't agree to in the first place. Only parking tickets issued on the public highway can be enforced. Don't reply to any of the letters, it implies agreement.

If private land it would be a private company and generally they clamp anyway as they know they have no chance of getting the money once you've gone. Public road will be your local council and unless there are no signs or they defaced, etc meaning you couldn't reasonably see it/them then I would suggest you screwed ... so dig deep i'm afraid m8! . Although, whoever thinks this will go towards the national debt has too much faith in the poloiticians of this country & also wants to lay off the drink/drugs! lol. Though you could, if it helps ... know your helping towards lining the local council official's pockets and helping the poor tax payer/car driver pay for the so-called official's with their vast expenses bill's/claims!!!! Yep you noticed ... i'm not bitter in the slightest!
