Becasue my nissan terrano is mounted on a separate chassis will it fail for having a hole in the sill ? :?

wouldnt if ya went ta my tester with £80 in the ashtray , drive in leave it there n 35 mins later voila a green one :wink:

So im guessing a hole in sill is ok on vehicle which has a separate chassis as long as its not near an important part of the veigcle.ie. seatbelt mount ?

i think it used to be the case on the old land rovers that you could cut them off and it would pass as it wasnt structural , i may be wrong but that rings a bell from some mates who were big on off roading on a budget

in my younger years i took my mk1 2door 1300e for mot ,sills where well rotten mot man said as long as its got a straight chassis running the lengh of the car he wont fail it ,the edge of the floor pans where rotten as well boy did it leak water :lol::lol: .i scrapped it 8 months later :mrgreen::thumbsup:

I hand crafted wheel arches from gaffer tape immediately before the test for a Mk2 SWB transit. The only thing she failed on was the handbrake cable and a side light out :thumbsup: Got pulled 2 days after taxing it! They said it looked rough :roll: Just look it up FFS!
