igor.neves Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Well i have the ones that you call rare, and i want the fixed ones. Thanks.
igor.neves Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 This ones you talk about, come with my escort mk1 1100, 2 doors model. Here in portugal! Are we speaking the same thing? I can get a lot of them over here i think.
johnny_h Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Opening quarterlights, like in this link>>> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Escort-Mk1-o ... dZViewItem
Admin Vista Posted January 18, 2007 Admin Report Posted January 18, 2007 I often get confused when people talk abut opening quarter windows as to whether they mean front or rear! If you mean the little front quarter lights I don't recommend fitting them. They are rare as hens teeth and replacement seals are even rarer. If the seals go they leak and you get really annoying wind noise through them. As Johnny says they were an optional extra and aren't very common. Unless you're really determined to be different I personally wouldn't bother.
igor.neves Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Yes but i don't want the opening quarter front window, i want the closed quarter front window. I have the opening quarter window, because I'm from portugal, and here all the escorts come with that, i want the closed ones, that here, are rare. So the link of eBay that someone post, really it's not what I'm looking for, but yes, it's what i have. Any doubts??
johnny_h Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I bet you have had a hundred pm's asking for yours! I'll swap you a fixed set of quarterlights for yours bud, NO DOUBT!
igor.neves Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I had none, but i don't want to give mines away, but i can get more like them, it's easy around here. I'm pretty shore, my mechanic gives them away. I'm trying to buy ones fixed, here, lets see.
