Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 12, 2011 Admin Report Posted April 12, 2011 I know that Classic Ford mag do this each month but where is your favourite road for a summer blast?
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Drighlington bypass to the first roundabout. It's half a mile of flat, straight road between two roundabouts.
SebringRS Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 For a test run, a45 between rugby and the motorway, no speed camera', no police due to the fact it being between two counties But any of the country roads round here for a nice blast
lotusless Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 i love the A272 that cuts across sussex + into hants, great really early in the morning with not many cars about
Big_man Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Pirbright bends, quite short bendy roads but you can have a right blast on them
Fiesta Steve Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Military Road, which crosses the Kent/Sussex boarder (which means no police) Its got 1/4 mile straight followed by a fast chicane then another 1/4 mile straight followed by another fast chicane, this carries on for 6 miles (and its my journey to work too )
evil knievel Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 i love the A272 that cuts across sussex + into hants, great really early in the morning with not many cars about I drive this road everyday and it must be nicer up your end! (I drive it from the Hadlow Down end)

(I drive it from the Hadlow Down end) yeah, the other end is nice i also like the a281 from horsham to cranleigh...after that, it gets a bit tight(and you'll end up behind a horsebox with no overtaking) there's a couple of nice gravel roads between horsham and crawley, but they're private +
.pete. Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 loads of roads on the east coast. The B1159 and A159 on the coast is a great little time passer. I used to drive the kids around it to get them to sleep in the car. Now I just drive it for fun when I go there.
emu Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 The A32 from Wickham to Alton is a fun little blast when plod aren't about!!
5hane Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Local lanes round upminster / avely are good fun, and epping forest / surrounding roads are good fun
Von Thrash Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Drighlington bypass to the first roundabout. It's half a mile of flat, straight road between two roundabouts. you knows it.
