SebringRS Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Why has this never been done to a mk1 escort?? I think it would look pretty cool
SebringRS Posted April 18, 2011 Author Report Posted April 18, 2011 I was thinking about finding another and trying it out
Trevmk3 Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 i dont particularly like the gasser look but that 2cv looks ok
Skimmer Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 It has been done when i was a teenage n we all had MK1 Escorts a mate of mine did it to be different as we all jacked the backs up on ours he raised the front of his it was very unstable and ended up in a the scrap yard I dont know / cant remember what he did but i know the engineering / fabrication of the mod was agriculteral
caprinerd Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 i dont particularly like the gasser look but that 2cv looks ok im the other way and love the gasser look but have to agree the 2CV ..... awsome
SebringRS Posted April 19, 2011 Author Report Posted April 19, 2011 It has been done when i was a teenage n we all had MK1 Escorts a mate of mine did it to be different as we all jacked the backs up on ours he raised the front of his it was very unstable and ended up in a the scrap yard I dont know / cant remember what he did but i know the engineering / fabrication of the mod was agriculteral Thats what put my dad off buying a 41 Willy's coupe, as if he was gunna have one, it'd have to be gasser style , great to look at, pig to drive. Although if i did do one, i'd probably end up trailering it anyhow
bomber1 Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 still want to do that to my or another mk3 zephyr/zodiac
mk1super Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Thats the best looking 2cv ive ever seen love it the rest look big an scary
zetecmk2 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 i'd like to see an osf gasser anyone? someone go for it!
SebringRS Posted April 23, 2011 Author Report Posted April 23, 2011 Only OSF' ive seen gassered are the consuls and zephyrs....like Henry Highrise, but i spose thats because they are the closest british car (body wise) to a 55-57 chevy bel air
presleybeetrootboy Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 ilike the chevy and the consul lol theres a nice 57 chevy gasser called honky tonkin its well nice but if i gasserd an osf it wud be a consul its got a great shape to it or a zodiac
SebringRS Posted April 23, 2011 Author Report Posted April 23, 2011 Yeah I know of honky Tonkin Was bought a couple of years ago from the guy that raced it, last time I saw it, the new owner had taken the race spec v8 out and stuck a more road tame motor in it. Didnt suit it, was too quiet
Mick The Cabbie Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Gotta love a Gasser!! I agree the 2CV looks pretty cool. There used to be a 100E Gasser lived nearby a few yrs back. With their raised stance, some of the Maltese Drag Escorts kinda have the look about em IMO..
97CI Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Found these gasser 300e's on R'n'S Hope the images show up sorted pics for you Trevmk3
