mr zefect Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Does anyone use atf in a type9 and diff.
baz105e Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 dont do it, it will fook them both up. the type 9 needs a specific oil but im not sure what the grade is, *atf is for autos and will wreck your type 9*

austinford Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Does anyone use atf in a type9 and diff. don't use atf, you need 75W90 (semi-synthetic) to GL4 spec in a type9, & EP80 or 90 in your diff. cheers, Gary.

gearbox100 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 My old boss used to service all the local rally boys tranx type 9`s and only ever filled with atf . The company had a taxi that had done lots and lots of miles in its life and that had atf in the gearbox , that gearchanged and noise was the same the day it was bought to the day it was sold , never gave us problem. I would have no problem filling a type 9 with atf .
mr zefect Posted April 22, 2011 Author Report Posted April 22, 2011 Nice to no and we have lots at work so its free.
