SebringRS Posted May 6, 2011 Author Report Posted May 6, 2011 Looks good mate, love the brown, very old skool, my best mk1 colour slammed on lotus rims! not a fan of the brown, hence the possible change, but im going to do the suspension and wheels 1st see what it looks like then possibly re-think, maybe just a re-spray in brown that is all it needs, as its a fairly old paint job i believe

gjh Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 I'll second that, where do you keep finding them? Very nice car by the way.
SebringRS Posted May 7, 2011 Author Report Posted May 7, 2011 Both of them eBay, the 1300xl and that one Think both of them were local one southam one Coventry Got it for, what I thought a fairly cheap price of £2250, concidering another one we went to look at that was a nail, sold for £3500. Not planning to sell it anyway, so price I spose is irrelevant. Been out in it today, drives so smooth, and I'm officially the 2nd owner of the car Few body issues will be sorted out soon, mainly the big hole in the rear passenger side arch.....like a huge one shall be patched up soon. Sort out the dodgy fit on the new rear arch, full of filler but yeah, I'm thinking once all that's done, respray of brown, lotus steels, slammed, done. Keep it simple
cjay2004 Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 i used to see this driving around my town all the time a few years back. was in better shape back then.. glad it went to a good home

But yeah, just found out it is a one owner car, makes me the 2nd owner The paint was original until they fitted the new passenger rear arch, then the place said to the guy, "We'll just blow it all over quick" Kinda didnt go as well as the guy had hoped
jamie Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Looks good mate, love the brown, very old skool, my best mk1 colour slammed on lotus rims!

SebringRS Posted May 10, 2011 Author Report Posted May 10, 2011 Ello' old man Brown might be staying.....for now anyhow engine shall be staying the same for a few years, insurance purpose's But i have the rims in mind, might not be to everyone's tastes, but once the re-spray is done in a few months (maybe) they will suit really well.....i hope Gunna try and keep changes hush hush So a bit of a surprise, although im thinking of getting it lowered, quarter bumpered and new rims on it by Ford Fair
