Kieran Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 Ok I know its not a Ford but This happened yesterday at the FIA Main Event. From this : To this: Pics taken from Santa Pod's Retards Club page Henri Joosten's nitrous pro-modified dragster suffered fire damage after a huge nitrous burp on launch on the Saturday of the 2011 FIA Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway, Northampton England, UK. . Thankfully Henri escaped unscathed but the same cannot be said about the car.

Admin Vista Posted May 30, 2011 Admin Report Posted May 30, 2011 I'm guessing the Pod gets their firemen and equipment from Trumpton? Very poor show!
SebringRS Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Thats quick for them......shame they brought the wrong equipment
Trevmk3 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 i notice one of the first blokes managed to slip on oil or something on his dash round the car. Made a bit of a mess of the car
emu Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 I'm guessing the Pod gets their firemen and equipment from Trumpton? Very poor show! That pissy little hose looks about as effective as the watering can in my garden. Perhaps its about time they invested in a old fire engine, something with a bit more grunt??? Am i right in thinking that the fire brigades use a foam additive to help damp fires down faster? Surely something like that would be a good idea too, especially considering the nature of car fires and lack of access to under bonnet areas. Shame to see the car in such a state but at least the driver got out safely
w p e Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 I'm guessing the Pod gets their firemen and equipment from Trumpton? Very poor show! thought the same and sure i just see pew pew barney mcgrew cuthbert dibble and grub . what a let down
SebringRS Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Apparently that had to re-surface the track??
Mr2Caps Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Lets put this into perspective here, you run a race track, there are cars there running highly combustible fuels, you assess the risk and give the marshals a hand held extinguisher, and your rapid response vehicle is a truck with a garden hose on it..........luckily he got out, what if he hadn't?
