You do get them mate! I have had a few in my life, not always to do with cars though!!!

 

But, I have the greatest of respect for them if they do know what they are talking about. You soon get to realise if they are talking shite, or talking the talk!

 

Some of them though, will not get the fact that a younger person knows as much or more than them. Some of them still think older is always wiser!!!

i mentioned oneday i wanted a capri got a whole lecture about how much it will cost then the insurance will be silly then there too dangerous too fast dont hold the road and ive got a perfectly good mk3 fiesta

 

i just want a 1.6 my current fiesta isnt much slower than one insurance isnt that much more

 

so acording to him im having a volvo next.......as long as its a 250GLT i dont care

Ah, you see Mr Sam, you are dealing with that all wrong. You should say, "You know what, I think I would like a Capri 2.8 injection!" Always go for the biggest engine.

 

Look into how much a 1.6 powered Capri will cost for insurance, if it can be done, go and buy one.

 

Bring it home and say "What do you think of my new car?" Then you will get, "I thought we told you, you are not to get a Capri?", then you can say, "Well yes and no, you see, you only told me that because I said I wanted a 2.8i, but this is a 1.6 Laser, so it is safer!"
