ocheye Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Hi All For those of you a bit perplexed by the name 'Carisma Century', it is a Cortina (4 or 5 I think) based kit car from the early 90's. Looks a bit like a Jaguar SS100. Mine has a 2.0 Pinto with type 9 gearbox. Suspension and steering is all cortina too. I have a blog at http://www.carismacentury.blogspot.com. I also have loads of Ford based queries which I shall be posting and hope you can help. I am based in Cumbria and would love to make contact with local old skool ford folk. Cheers Andy
ocheye Posted June 28, 2011 Author Report Posted June 28, 2011 Thanks for the welcome! I'm a bit unsure as to which is the best section I should post my technical queries to as although it is predominately Cortina IV(?) based it obviously shares some mechanical bits with capris etc. Any pointers would be useful.
over_head_cam Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Welcome m8. We have a Cortina section and an Engine (pinto/crossflow) room too. If you're unsure post in Oldskoolford Chat
Admin Vista Posted June 29, 2011 Admin Report Posted June 29, 2011 Welcome to OSF Quite a pretty little car, there are certainly much worse looking kit cars that were based on the Mk4 / 5 Cortina, How's about this horror? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SPARTEN-SHERWOOD- ... 665wt_1139
ocheye Posted July 1, 2011 Author Report Posted July 1, 2011 The Sherwood is definitely not the prettiest but I have seen worse. An SS100 replica was advertised on EBay sometime ago and is shown on http://www.carismacentury.blogspot.com on the 24/12/2010 Andy
