Andrade Posted September 17, 2011 Report Posted September 17, 2011 Cheviot wheels 6" wide. Currently refurbishing them then its a set of tyres wheel nuts (which are proving difficult to find). I am trying to get a set from Australia since this is an Australian brand.
Andrade Posted September 19, 2011 Author Report Posted September 19, 2011 So just found out their name is Cheviot Hustlers and were produced in 1975 by an Australian brand. The downside is that I cannot find wheel nuts anywhere apart from these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1648wt_905 Can anyone tell me where can I find a set from the UK with these specs? 7/16 Thread. 19 mm Shank length 17.2mm Shank Diameter 13 / 16 Socket size 3 mm Washer thickness 27 mm Washer Diameter
D-FENS Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 Try Steve Law at Speed Shack in West Drayton they are very good with wheel nuts .
Fiesta Steve Posted September 19, 2011 Report Posted September 19, 2011 Might be easier to re-machine the holes to accept conventional wheel bolts/nuts..
Andrade Posted September 20, 2011 Author Report Posted September 20, 2011 Try Steve Law at Speed Shack in West Drayton they are very good with wheel nuts . Did that and he replied yesterday at 10pm ready to supply me with a set
msymes Posted September 22, 2011 Report Posted September 22, 2011 I had Dragways that were similar on my mk2... they're quite common on old skool cars in australia... they look good mate glad you were able to source the wheel nuts
Andrade Posted September 30, 2011 Author Report Posted September 30, 2011 Got the wheel nuts from Speedshack, they're the right ones. 3 rims done only 1 left to go. Should be on the car with tyres by tomorrow. Most probably going for 185/60 R13 Toyo CF1
stuartp Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 can't wait to see these on the car, they look excellent!
msymes Posted September 30, 2011 Report Posted September 30, 2011 My Mk2 with similar rims... I was running 205/60 Yokohama's... they were a great tyre
Andrade Posted October 1, 2011 Author Report Posted October 1, 2011 And finally! I am fitting revolution centre caps, on the rear I managed to put them on with no mods but on the front they need some tweaking. Will look at it further as soon as I have some spare time And yes, it needs lowering
