Admin Vista Posted November 3, 2011 Admin Report Posted November 3, 2011 Welcome to OSF. Re your car, very tidy but unfortunately we don't cater for the newer generations of classic ford. Whilst there are some variations depending who you ask, our rule of thumb is that the car had to be in production before 1980.That doesn't mean you're not welcome to use the forum though
zetecmk2 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 welcome to osf that's a lovely mk3 can we start the arguement about capri's and pre 1980 cars now? i'm sitting down, with my popcorn.....just waiting for the show to start!!!
banarama Posted November 3, 2011 Report Posted November 3, 2011 welcome to osf that's a lovely mk3 can we start the arguement about capri's and pre 1980 cars now? i'm sitting down, with my popcorn.....just waiting for the show to start!!! i thought the same when i read this a 1981 28i capri is not old skool ford, nor is a tickford,or a brooklands
Admin Vista Posted November 3, 2011 Admin Report Posted November 3, 2011 Thems the rules and that's that. No arguments, no ifs, buts or whatnots just go directly to Jail, do not pass Go and DEFINITELY do not collect £200. So there
zetecmk2 Posted November 4, 2011 Report Posted November 4, 2011 what car shall i go to jail in? a c plate capri or a sierra on a y? hmmmm....... still got some popcorn
PaulT Posted November 7, 2011 Author Report Posted November 7, 2011 If my 84 escort isnt old enuff for the club, sorry peeps.....
Admin Vista Posted November 7, 2011 Admin Report Posted November 7, 2011 i thought the same when i read this a 1981 28i capri is not old skool ford, nor is a tickford,or a brooklands That's not what I said, I said it had to be in production before 1980, i.e. the model rather than the specific car. OP, sorry you feel that way but it is what it is. Would you expect to join a Capri club with an Escort or a Cortina club with a Granada? It doesn't mean you're not welcome to participate, just that we don't cater for your model of car.
lotusless Posted November 8, 2011 Report Posted November 8, 2011 gt40's are in kool! not your one though
Burt Reynolds Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Having said that i've seen quite a few post 1980's Capris with Old Skool Ford stickers in them and I was thinking of getting one too. Should i still do so now on the back of this bombshell? Glen - if you do decide to go in an old C plate capri - go in mine mate but if you need the 2.8i Bilsteins from my 1986 C plated capri for your pre 1980 escort...well up your chuffer mate because i can't cater for ya.
