webby1 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 hi, i am considering putting a 4 link rear end on my wifes 100e, i was just wondering if anybody has done this before and is there anything i should look out for, i think i will have to use an escort kit as there is not one for the pop, any help or pic's would be very helpful, thanks.
jamie956 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Do you really want to go 4 link as you will have to cut the box's into the floor, i would use a anti tramp kit and gas shock conversion from Alen Dent, http://alachi57.auto.officelive.com/alachi57.aspx http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ford-anglia10 ... 20bee9a271 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ford-100e-rea ... 1e6850adfb
webby1 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Report Posted December 5, 2011 i realize that i have to weld the boxes in, i was more concerned as to whether i use the long boxes or the short, i only want to build the car once so i thought i might as well do everything now rather than upgrade over the coming years, cheers for the reply.
jamie956 Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 I had the same problem with my cortina i used a escort kit, the box's arn't really going to be your problem its the length of the bar's shortning them to suit, 90% of the box could be cut off its only the end where the bars mount you need, i cut my box's and extended them im guessing yours will need shortning, only reason for sugesting the other kit was im not sure how well 4 link bars work on 100e's, i would give Alan a call he's been racing these cars for ever.
