Number 4 RS Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 A few pics of my first rally Escort after moving on from Minis. I used it for a few years in the 70's then sold it on. I know it had the BDA unit replaced with a V8 and it was then used for sand racing. The car was originally used by Mike Pattison for Motoring News events and was later dismantled and the parts sold of, as a start for his EARS business,I acquired the shell and rebuilt it. I know the car is still registered but who owns it now??
Admin Vista Posted December 8, 2011 Admin Report Posted December 8, 2011 Interesting, I was expecting a vehicle that has obviously been used hard (as it was meant to be) and been extensively modified, to have disappeared by now but evidently not, still taxed as we speak and still with the v8 too if the DVLA records are accurate. The vehicle details for FLG 1K are: Date of Liability 01 02 2012 Date of First Registration 11 04 1972 Year of Manufacture 1972 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 3500cc CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type PETROL Export Marker N Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour WHITE Vehicle Type Approval Not Available
