groundedescort Posted January 10, 2012 Author Report Posted January 10, 2012 yes i am pleased with it thanks for the comments i really wanted a 2 door but as i can do the work myself its a good base to make it how i want it, it will be a rolling restoration and yes the metallic blue under the bonnet was its original colour, its got a lot of toys on it and its tax free which is less money for the government and i am all for that never walked into a post office to get tax and not paid so that will be a treat ! it will have a fresh coat of paint but my ideas are as follows not to everyones taste i know but my race car i just sold was kawasaki green so yes thats the colour i have ordered ! i am not going to make it something its not with mexico stripes or anything but all chrome is going black round lights, bumpers, grille etc satin black, actually like the rostyles now i have seen them in the flesh and 4 new yokies i will be keeping them a while but hope to get it to the shows next year finished watch this space, going to build a running page of the work taking place to keep a record of pictures etc at least i can stand back in the end and say it may not be perfect but i did it myself ! i will post the link up the top when i have built the site.
