barmiebrumie Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Hi all, New boy here from Birmingham, just bought a 1958 Ford Aglia 100e, My first car when I was 16 (34 yrs ago) was a Ford Pop 100e & have always wanted one since, hope to have it done for next summer, 2.0ltr engine/box, escort rear axle (4 bar), escort front cradle & suspension, etc etc, will be poping in quite a lot for knowlege as I have been on the landrover scene for a few years & need to learn as much as possible about the older fords & mods. Cheers John
barmiebrumie Posted January 16, 2012 Author Report Posted January 16, 2012 Cheers, forgot to ask, any other brummies on here ? & do we have any local meetings ? Cheers John
lotusless Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 Welcome to the site john we have lots of brummies on here and they do have regular meets.
XjamesX Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Welcome mate. Nice choice of car, love pops, and quite partial to an anglia too I'm in the bgrove area, so not too far. There is a meet at the moat Inn, alcester, on the last sunday of the month, (all kinds of classics.) In the summer it goes to a thursday night (i think last of the month again), also in the summer there is a meet at a pub in knowle (can't remember the name off the top of my head, something like "the black boy/bull" I think) There was the meet at becketts farm, but's that's been shutdown now. As far as i'm aware there arn't any OSF meets in brum, although Tom (sebringRS) will hopefully be organising something at sometime this year in the coventry area. I wouldn't mind sorting out a meet somewhere around bromsgrove area so maybe we could get birmingham and worcester people attending if there was interest.
