quater bumpers for a mk1 escort

at some point i am going to want a pair of frount quater bumpers for my mk1 escort and was just wondering where the best place to get some and what sort of price u would pay for them? is it worth buying a set that need a rechrome? or is that expensive?

The stainless steel ones are quite popular for obvious reasons. I sold a decent set of chrome quarter bumpers for £120 a while back.

id go 4 carbon like wessie said or go for glass fibre bumper

Think I'd agree. From what I've heard re-chroming is pretty expensive unless you know someone in the business I spose. There was a Mk1 in CF a few years back [it might have been that young kiddies blue one??] & he had all the chromework painted/powdercoated silver, I thought it looked good personally. And a much cheaper alternative too.

RACE do Chromed fibreglass items quite cheap and as well as being light they look the part you know it makes sense

Mine were amongst the first ones they sold and the mounting holes weren't quite right and needed opening out so after I received them I negotiated a little discount and they asked if they could use a photo of them on the car. So I got a little bit back for it but not much. They look good on the car though.

yeh they look nice but not sure if i can afford them atm as i have other things 2 spend my money on but i will remember them in the future!!!
