i am dan from tunbridge wells i have a mk1 4 door currently in resto to be finished in the next week or two pics in the resto room, i have been on and off here since 2004 but never really got to know many of you as i was running my own ford club but thats all finished now and i hope to be part of old skool ford and maybe next year hopefully get my car on the classic ford mag show OSF stand i will be there this year but cant guarantee my car will be done so will only be spectating, had many fords in my time got into them when i was 13 years old i worked for someone who had a mk1 lotus twin cam escort he still has the car now and is a good friend still since i was 13 i have longed to get a mk1 escort i am now 29 but having kids house etc never been able to afford one, since i started my own car sales business have been making reasonable money and saw a "more door" mk1 on ebay with a lot of good mods on it engine suspension etc so i have restored it ready for the road and intend on getting a 2 door shell in a couple of years thats mint and re shelling it all into it so hope to meet some of you regulars in the future at the shows etc may come and say hi on your stand in may i have got a lot of good technical stuff for helping me get my car back on the road from this site so i am now a fully paid up member and a word to other newbies please please pay the £12 it is well worth it very little for a years worth of thousands of peoples knowledge and discounts on various things, cheaper insurance and to keep the club going donations need to be given i know running a club isnt cheap banners merchandise stickers etc so please give kindly ! i have ordered my OSF window sticker for the front which will be going on soon

All fords I started years ago then it turned into south east ford owners club monthly meets at hop farm which a few from here used to attend then started a business as didn't have time to carry on with it so a friend took it over and recently it shut
