cjay2004 Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 hi all, i bought a 1600 xflow auto engine + box i have now got rid of the auto box and was converting the engine to run a manual g/box.... now im having nightmares finding a flywheel...it seems the end of the crank seems to be different to all normal xflow cranks..... just wondered if anyone else has ever encountered this issue before & if so what did u do to solve it? heres a pic of myn.... heres a pic of what most xflow cranks are like.... any help will be very welcome...cheers cjay
Col-ashtonmobile Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 that spacer should just knock off , spray it with some wd 40 or penetrating oil and tap it with a hammer , should fall off then your flywheel will fit , you will need to fit a crankshaft spigot bearing
gearbox100 Posted May 10, 2012 Report Posted May 10, 2012 I think but cant be 100%, that you still have a peace of the torque converter on the end of the crank . your faster at typing than me v6col
