boddney Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 I've spent ages looking for a Capri Mk2 model/toy so I went for the common old Mk3 Sport with a view to making it my own. The quality of the model was pretty dire but then again my efforts to make it like mine were also pretty awful. It looks better in the flesh than in the pics as the pics had to be close up as it's so small but here it is anyway. First Coat A little more fettling needed but at least it looks more like a Mk2 now than it did. What dy'all think???
caprian280 Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 Don't fully give up mate, October sees the release of a 1/18 Capri mk2 ghia 3 litre in white. A guy on eBay is taking pre orders - if you search on there there's pictures of the model so you can get a feel for what its going to be like. I've got 6 mk2 fiesta xr2's by the same model company and they are very good and well detailed so I expect the Capri to be the same.

Mr2Caps Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Another mk2 model to look out for is by polistil I have a green version, they also did a model of the taunus, the majorette model comes in several different colours I have an orange one, the matchbox one can also be found in white, I believe the one pictured came on the back of a car transporter as part of a set, but I could be wrong.
