Week day & Saturday meets V's Working long hours

Hi all,

 

Just curious really, but from personal experience due to the hours and days I work there is always a chuck of evening/weekend meets which I simply cant make,

 

I've always thought to myself I wish it were on a Sunday.....

 

Does anyone else ever feel the same? or wish they could attend more Sunday meets?

I work shifts so its alittle bit different for me cos it can be good or bad, but i thought the meets were held in the week cos there is shows to go to on the weekends.

Where I am (midlands) the meets are weeknights in the "summer" months, and then on sunday's for the rest of the year, and as a whole the nights are more well attended (by a mile) even if the sunday is a really nice day weather wise!

I get more chance of going to evening meets than weekends as my youngest boy plays football on a saturday and eldest on a sunday from september to april and then in the summer they play tournaments or i'm on holiday so seem to miss most and the weekend meets / shows and when i do get free weekend there is never anything on or its pissing down with rain

but footy comes first and they are both good at it so have to support them

I find that weekday evening meets are all about "my time" where as to many weekend meets take away from "family time" i have tried to get my wife and sons involved but they do not "get it". i have failed as a father it passing on the OSF gene

i work nights so can only do weekends and as xjamesx said, they are few and far between in the midlands during the summer

Do it Colin something like the first or last Sunday of the month as that is far away enough from the wingspan 2 local meets meet a month i'm up for that
