stuartp Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 has something happened? - has car insurance bumped up massively for everyone because my renewal quote is 50 quid more than last year! (and everyone i ring is more than where i am now) did i suddenly become a worse driver? - nope, no accidents, no claims for anything (ever, in fact) have i changed anything on the car? - no, same as last year and the year before have they decided this year to be really strict about modifications? - never had any trouble in previous years, this year several won't even give me a quote obviously no one enjoys sorting out insurance but this year it has been an extra massive pain (took me ages to sort out the kit car a few months back too) sorry, just needed to rant a bit and maybe get some advice from you lot this is the car in question...
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 12, 2012 Admin Report Posted September 12, 2012 it's because you have sideburns and long hair Stu

stuartp Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 It is all because of your saarf london "badlands" postcode Stuart this is true actually - russian bear on here couldn't even offer me a quote because of it (although 3 or 4 years back he could) maybe i have lowered the tone of the area even more over the years?
stuartp Posted September 12, 2012 Author Report Posted September 12, 2012 it's because you have sideburns and long hair Stu i just got my hair cut and trimmed off the beard actually preparing to dress up as freddie mercury at a fancy dress festival thing this weekend - got the yellow jacket, white trousers, wembley 86 costume and now have short hair and a bushy gayman 'tache

theloudboy Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 Insurance is a odd thing mine has gone down just under £100 from last year, rip off scum bags if you ask me.
livewire7116 Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 my traders policy went from £700 upto £752 but when i told them i had better quote for under £700 they went £10 under just to beat it, another tip i was given is to wait til closer the end of the month when they are trying hard to meet target sales
Yeomans22 Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 my capri went up for no reason, im keeping it off the road until january when im 25 to hopefully get a better quote
