I may have read it wrong but i took it he would sell his MK1 and spend about £2k on another OSF ?

I assumed he meant he would pay off some debts and have that sort of cash left over or Px another car of about £2k value with some cash for his MK1.

yeah i know it's worth way more than 2k, savvi is right, i'd hope to have that left over after selling the escort and pleasing the bank manager to spend on another OSF

i'm still not 100% but i'm much more in the keeping it camp at the moment

Car has to be worth ~£5k

Only you knwo your debts, though. As others have said it will be hard to get another good one back again. Can other things give rather than the car? Difficult one.

yeah gotta be at least that much

i'm well aware that if i sell up i won't be able to afford another one

i don't have to sell it yet, it's not quite that bad but i'm wondering if i had an anglia or a 100e or a cortina etc would i not enjoy that just as much?

it is the only thing i have that is worth anything so it will have to go if i start struggling more than i am now

It's the 'wrong' time to sell at the moment as well. Getting cold and wet, little money around. Perhaps wait until spring and think it all over. Make sure it is insured with an agreed value.

Best,

Don't worry Jiffer, the gt is being used and plan to gradually improve it, just got hung up on diy at the moment :banghead:
