Never had a car acid dipped but from talking to people that had it done they have all said its worth it because it gets into everywhere meaning nothing is missed and you can send it back after all the repairs and have it 'E' coated

Yes, I've had it done and would say it's definitely worth it. Don't skip the e-coating part of the process though as that would leave all the internals of your chassis rails as bare metal. Click the link under my sig for details of before and after for comparison.

did you get it done at spl by any chance?

 

their pricing a bit vauge on their site...what was the total £ to do both things on your motor scott..assuming it was with spl

I wish I dipped mine I did a bare metal restore with paint stripper and sandpaper it was weeks of work and it did the job but within 3 years I had signs of rust coming through. But I never had £2500 for dipping. So if you got the budget I would go for it.
