over_head_cam Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 fook shit arse mary swank toss mary mary mary How the fook can anyone justify a quote of 1600 King quid for a 500 quid shitter? Never had an accident that's my fault and been driving over 20 years. Insurance companies: you can go fook yourselves, it's cheaper to get a fine and have the King car seized turds!!! fook you and all that know you, I hope an antelope falls through your roofs and termites eat your windows Carry on lol
Admin Vista Posted November 7, 2012 Admin Report Posted November 7, 2012 But what did the poor antelope do wrong? May I suggest in its place a large container of warm dog mess dropped from a great height? It's hard to see the logic behind that figure, it's more than five times what I pay for my daily!
lotusless Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 But you live in croydon innit !!! postcode tax phil
Mrs O/H/C Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 My daily went from £40 p.mth in Pastyland to £240 in Smoggyland ... The friggin car is only worth £1200 !!! Now explain why ????
Admin Vista Posted November 7, 2012 Admin Report Posted November 7, 2012 Ahhhhh now I see what the problem is, South Londonistan!
lotusless Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 I'm in croydon + i have a third party fire/ stabbing/ robbery/gun crime/ and theft policy
over_head_cam Posted November 7, 2012 Author Report Posted November 7, 2012 It's EIGHT times what I'm paying in my Escort Scott. Maybe they do see it as a higher risk but rhat's taking the piss. Croydin sucks balls in that respect. Either that or they think I'm a mary Neil, most do lol some insurance companies flatly refused to insure me on my Escort and my daily
Admin Vista Posted November 7, 2012 Admin Report Posted November 7, 2012 There are times when I regret not living nearer where all the OSF action happens..................and there are times when I don't, this is one of the latter, Christ, £1600 at your (our) age? What is it you're trying to insure?
Mrs O/H/C Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 £1600 compared to my £2800 for my Mondeo ... Mad prices for us oldies !!
GJUK Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 :-/ What are you driving, a Ferrari F40? Do you leave it on the road at night, unlocked with the keys on show? 27 years old, V70 T5 here. No NCB. £600 with business insurance. 30k per year in Shottingham.
over_head_cam Posted November 7, 2012 Author Report Posted November 7, 2012 A 95 Mondeo estate that I bought for work (what there is of it) I shall try our sponsors A-Plan when I get a minute.
Savvi Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 Times like this that my £2500 for my fully comp trade policey seems cheap My mate has just moved back to Oxfordshire after living in Croydon for a few years, he said he couldnt afford to live there anymore !!!!
over_head_cam Posted November 7, 2012 Author Report Posted November 7, 2012 Well, I've just got off the phone to Clare at A-Plan insurance and I'm now fully comp at less than HALF of any other quote. I didn't have to try all that 'can you do it any cheaper' lark, though for being an OSF member I did get a 9% discount as well. Friendly and helpful service go a very long way in my book. Oh yeah, and a brilliant price
