Skimmer Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 So last saturday i got the Cozzyvan booked in for an MOT, so its for 9am so off i go around 8.45 up the A40 for about 2 or so mins and off the slip road to the MOT station well what comes through the post this morning an Inforcement notice from DVLA basically saying they got photographic evidence that at 8.48am my vehicle was on the A40 untaxed and on sorn ........Unless the law has changed in the last week im sure you can drive straight to and from an MOT untaxed ????... ...Letter said tax immediatly but i have a prop issue on way home so wont tax till sorted anyone else had to sort this crap out ,it passed the MOT at 9.40 ......more nonsence to sort out
welshmike Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 I didnt think you could get a tax disc without an MOT certificate? so how could you tax it before you went?! as long as it was insured i reckon youll be ok, you aint done nothing wrong

Skimmer Posted March 9, 2013 Author Report Posted March 9, 2013 Nice one Darren im gonna give them a call monday as its a 9 to 5 mon to friday job .....Hopefully i wont have momths of correspondence with them like the time they revoked my V5 (another vehicle) over an engine change notification .....

Skimmer Posted March 11, 2013 Author Report Posted March 11, 2013 UPDATE Tried calling number on letter but all automated and unless i want to pay pay pay then cant get to talk to a human and informs to send a letter in response ,so just spent about an hour on the DVLA site and there dont seem to be an email about my situation funny that though just about everything else so tomorrow im gonna go to my local office and see what they say ......
