I'm thinking of having sons wheels done but I'm not sure weather to have them just diamond cut and left if lacquered ?

My thoughts are forget having them lacquered as the water gets under it and after a why ill prob end up having them done again?

When I had my 4 spokes diamond cut they wouldn't laquer them as they were 'old' lol and it would go manky.

They were left bare alloy and was told I would have to clean them everyday. The novalty of that wore off after about a week and after a year they needed refurbing again.

Although car was used daily in all weathers..

Same for me. I didn't have them Diamond cut though, they were machine polished. Hand polishing was a ball ache and now they also look dull again. If I was to do it again I think I'd have them lacquered.

Most of the refurb company's don't like lacquering older wheels, they say that the porosity makes them pit again, so it's polish or paint! I have gone the polish route on my Revos but it is a ballache!
