Home page ??

Since last night well late afternoon my what i suppose is called a home page has drastically changed ??? from being black with latest posts etc to now being white and a list all down the left hand side of the screen and i have to scroll around half the screen to try and find any comments etc to the posts , is this the new home page or has smething happened ????? as i really dont like it and its taken me this long to find a way to ask this question ...........Help !!

Have you altered the theme you are using? Is the rest of the forum showing as normal in black and white?

 

The home page was looking normal for me when I went out an hour or so ago. I assume by home page you mean the page you get if you click the OSF logo in the banner at the top?

As password remembered it takes me straight to this white page straight away so there is no logo or nowt ,this page is pretty clinical and basic , dont know how ive come by it as i havnt changed anything/settings etc .......

I've checked you're using the default skin. Can you try clearing your cookies and temporary folders etc?

Another thought occurred to me. Are you having this issue on a mobile device? Smart phone, I-pad or other tablet for instance? I think they will default to the mobile skin when it senses it's being viewed on a mobile device

Can you try clearing your cookies and temporary folders etc?.........What is a default thing and how do i clear cookies ?????......its on a new laptop ive had about 5 or 6 weeks its all i use as my mobile is about 10 years old .......Oh its bl""dy windows 8 and you need to be einsterin to use it ..........thanks for the advice so far ...

Try scrolling down to the bottom of the screen and click where it says change theme. Make sure you have a tick beside where it says Animate.

 

As to clearing cookies and temporary folders on Windows 8, sorry no idea. A Google search can usually find you a how to guide though.
