shaun1.6ghia Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 So we see standard, south London, Maltese and a bit of rat look in the ford scene nowadays, what would you like to see more of from other cultures/scenes? Just a idea.........
NeilT Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 muscle car inspired big old fords and the pro street/pro touring look 1
shaun1.6ghia Posted April 15, 2013 Author Report Posted April 15, 2013 That sounds cool, I remember seeing a black mk1 Capri done in this style an it was awesome!!!!!! 1
Posse Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 I reckon having them wrapped is the way forward cheaper than a spray job .. 1
over_head_cam Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 I quite like the stickerbomb idea, like the vee dubs, also I saw a rendering for a salt-flat raceer style Mk2 RS2000 which I quite liked. I think that whatever is done to our OSFs as long as it's quality work can only be good for the whole 'scene'
iandq Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 I did a pro street mk1 Granada years ago, with a 351 Windsor and narrowed 9 inch rear, but didn't like it so converted it back with a breakers yard rear half floor pan! it's still about, a guy called mike Ludlow has it now, over southend way. the original south London look takes some beating in my opinion, less is more as they say.
LUKE261 Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 I do like the pro street look but it works better on cars from 50's and 60's era in my opinion also costs a lot of money
LUKE261 Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 I love the maltese drag race style a couple of cars around on our scene sporting the look now
mk2 mike Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Still a fan of the south London look. Funny that, what with being born and growing up in south London
shaun1.6ghia Posted April 16, 2013 Author Report Posted April 16, 2013 Wraps, sticker bombs. Haven't seen any like that yet. I sticker bombed my dash in the escort Any wheels we would like to see on a osf? Bbm's are getting their way in an saw the mk1 escort van with Porsche pepper pots on an likes it. I always liked the vw Fuchs in white with polished lip. Would love to see those on a osf 1
MK2Ed Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 Prefer Sth London style. But forgot Reading style - stripped out, big arches, big wheels and turbos... 1
LUKE261 Posted April 20, 2013 Report Posted April 20, 2013 I like the northern look baloon tyres and a 25mm drop lol
shaun1.6ghia Posted April 21, 2013 Author Report Posted April 21, 2013 Isn't there anything different you would like to see more of tho? I love original paint slammed on wide wheels an skinny tyres but just thinking outside the box really
over_head_cam Posted April 21, 2013 Report Posted April 21, 2013 Found this link. Would love to build this http://www.virtualmodels.org/photoshop-chops/ford/escort-mk2-rs2000-bonneville
MK2Ed Posted April 22, 2013 Report Posted April 22, 2013 Found this link. Would love to build this http://www.virtualmodels.org/photoshop-chops/ford/escort-mk2-rs2000-bonneville Reminds me a little of Joe Little's MKI
shaun1.6ghia Posted April 22, 2013 Author Report Posted April 22, 2013 Now that's real different ohc!! I like it loads
XjamesX Posted April 23, 2013 Report Posted April 23, 2013 Personally I hate the rat look Also I think the thing is with the prices like they are who is gonna buy say a mk1 escort and sticker bomb its bodywork? Probably find it happens to less valuable cars as a whole. Any wheels we would like to see on a osf?
XjamesX Posted April 23, 2013 Report Posted April 23, 2013 Or these, i'd love to see how they looked on my escort
Admin Vista Posted April 23, 2013 Admin Report Posted April 23, 2013 I've always liked those ATS classics, shame they're not available in a ford PCD anymore. You do still occasionally see them in 4 x 108 on ebay.de though 1
XjamesX Posted April 23, 2013 Report Posted April 23, 2013 Call it blasphemy but I'd love an A series Manta with some ATS classics
shaun1.6ghia Posted April 23, 2013 Author Report Posted April 23, 2013 I think the thing is with the prices like they are who is gonna buy say a mk1 escort and sticker bomb its bodywork? Probably find it happens to less valuable cars as a whole. There are other osf's that int the price of a mk1 2door. That is y it would be soo different, an if you knew the wing was on its way out anyway would it really matter? Anyways it's only a idea. Nice to see new ideas flying around an with company's changing hub pcd's at reasonable prices any wheel is available for our osf's I'd like to see more of that personally
