Muzzman Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 So with the immanent purchase of an OSF I need to think about my garage. It is a 1955 pre fab jobbie, condition is okay but very draughty, it's got one of those dodgy asbestos roofs. I'm abit worried about leaving an old car in there, is there any quick wins. I was thinking about boarding it up but then I thought about damp. Maybe garage paint and floor tiles and then foam between the roof and the walls to block out the draught
GJUK Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 I had one of these once, condensation on the roof inside was a bitch. You can get a material to cover the inside with. good venting is the only way with these really. They do get damp.
SmokeEm Posted May 9, 2013 Report Posted May 9, 2013 If you are local to Surrey/Hants I know someone who does resin garage floors on the side from his daily job. As for the roof, you might be best to renew with polycarbonate sheeting. i.e Twinwall etc?
Admin Vista Posted May 9, 2013 Admin Report Posted May 9, 2013 I rented a council garage for a while and had a nightmare with condensation forming on the inside of the roof. If you can get something done to prevent it happening, it's a worthwhile exercise
