You can't miss it Jo, last one on the M5, I think it's junction 29 or 30. The access road comes straight down the side of the car park so I figure if we gather towards the top end of the car park we'll keep out of the way.

Unfortunately we probably can't stay there too long as when Chris rang the manager he got the standard public liability insurance answer. So if we use it as a gathering point then push off for a run, ending up at the Karting track mid afternoon?

Okay .... we're staying near Ashburton so will be coming up on the A38

You could pick us up en route? We'll be heading up the A38 from Plymouth and will probably pass Ashburton somewhere between 11.30 and 11.40, hang out on the slip road or in a layby till we go by?

Oh and a word of caution the roadworks on the M5 around Exeter have average speed cameras on the overhead gantries. They run the entire length of that section so break the limit at your peril :(

Okay sounds good .... I'll PM you my mobile no and maybe you can give us a call just before you get to Ashburton and we'll join you on the A38

Speed cameras not a problem - will be running in the new engine anyway :?

Hey, those of you at the last meet might remember some bloke with a video camera lurking around.

Well that was me.

Just to say that i've put together a 10 minute DVD of the Jan 28th meet and if anyones interested they can purchase a copy at the meet on Sunday. I'll be selling them out the boot Dell boy style!

Anyone interested either let me know beforehand or just come see me Sunday! Cheers :D

Hopefully got a couple more coming! Just been texting my old housemate from Uni, he used to have a mk1 1300GT, he sold it at RTTS last year & now has a Pilot and his mate has a consul. Hopefully they'll be coming along!

Looking forward to this one big time, but am slightly concerned about the Old Bill turning up again and chasing us away from Exeter services. So regretfully we probably won't be able to hang out there too long.

I'll handle em! :lol::roll:

Seriously though, there isn't a lot they can do. We're moving on, so we are doing nothing but using the services for what they are there to provide.

All will be well. :ykt:

Can someone living close to Exmouth check to see if Exmouth Seafront is actually open at the moment, read that the main part where local car owners meet was closed for refurbishment last Sunday!

That's the wrong end.

Up the other end is like a lido with a small roundabout at the end, that's where people cruise along.

locati1.jpg

The main sefront runs along between the Waterfront sports shop right along to where it says cafe which is where the roundabout is.

That camera is up near the harbour end

Are you gonna go to the car park at the end by the crazy golf place and the cafe opposite where the windsurfers go?? That will be a nice cruise along the front 8)8)8)

Scott, can you text me on Saturday if there are any changes to the Exeter meeting place cos we will be down in Devon by then with no web access

Also, if anyone fancies meeting up for a few beers or a blast near to Ashburton on Saturday night then let me know. It will be me, Driver and Posse with our families

Hi Joe, don't worry the meet will still start at Exeter services, but it turns out that escortmad is right, The town council has closed the sea front road for repairs from the end turning area to the Maer, and that's exactly where we had planned to cruise too and park up!

My path is strewn with cow pats from the devils own satanic herd!!!:evil:

Time for a new plan for a run, bugger bugger bugger!

Trouble is figuring out where to go where a possible 70 to 80 cars (if attendance is the same as last time) can all park up together........

Any locals any suggestions? Short notice I know, I thought maybe a run towards Dartmoor or Exmoor?

Quick update

Look at this interactive map, the last mile or so down to the turning area is where I had planned to stop, (bottom right of map) unfortunately this section has been closed

http://www.exmouth-guide.co.uk/gregsmap3.htm

We may still have enough space along the rest of the sea front but It may be a case of suck it a and see
