Eyewitness have claimed that two people were shot after armed police were called to an incident in which a man wearing a Help for Heroes t-shirt was attacked with a machete-style knife and dumped in the street. Eyewitness James told LBC 97.3's Iain Dale the incident has left him and his wife in shock. "These two guys were crazy, they just were not there they were just animals," he explained. "They dragged the poor guy - he was obviously dead, there was no way a human could take what they did to him. They dragged him from the pavement and dumped his body in the middle of the road and left his body there."

Old bill everywhere because of what's happened in woolwich. He's 13 years old and I've never seen him so serious, angry and upset about what's happened. Even he said it was disgusting.

Just my opinion and perhaps over simplistic but: Tony Blair sent the British military into two Islamic nations in 2001 and 2003. They were there for a very long time (still there in one case) and I guess some of them are pretty pissed off at that. Whether he was right or wrong to do so is entirely another debate but what he and his successor were completely wrong on was not having a plan to stabilise the two countries quickly or on how to shore up our borders in anticipation of the huge influx of predominantly Islamic refugees that would swarm across them (legally and illegally) many of whom might be a little pissed at us for marching into their homelands and forcing them to flee the ensuing conflict. Does any of that justify acts like yesterdays or make Islamic fundamentalism in the UK acceptable? Absolutely not, nor do I have any sympathy for the poppy and flag burners that like to make a fuss. I can just see how we ended up here.

As to messing with freedom of speech and other civil liberties, no I'm against that. Not because I think they should be able to say and do as the please, but because the law abiding majority of the population do not deserve to lose what rights they have in order to contain the minority. Any changes in the law would apply to all remember.
