Did anyone see south east news last night, someone post some tvrs on you tube I think it was the tunnel run boys and gals, they were doin 130mph in the dartford tunnel so know they want to put cameras up in the tunnel and on the bridge. How do you get 130 in the tunnel without getting stuck behind some lorry

Just as a word of warning, there are now cameras in the Blackwall tunnel, anything over 30mph gets you a £100 fine, no points, as the cameras are being run by Transport for London, so they can't stick points on your licence, the cameras aren't marked in anyway, just a word of warning.....

No, there isn't signs for those f**king camera's.

 

Total and utter piss take and a breach of our rights as motorists. The sooner people wise up and f**k Labour and that pr*ck Livingstone off, the sooner we can start to get out of this dictatorship they call life!!!

 

I am all for MAD destroying these camera's, it's about time we rebelled as motorists.

I beleive it has been posted in here before, but there are some petitions that can be signed up to on the 10 Downing Street site.

got this from the advanced motorcycyclists group in the south - seems quite informative about the tunnnel cameras:

 

 

"there are now small undetectable specs cameras (average speed detection cameras) sited in both the north and south bore of the Blackwall tunnel. Apparently they are going live today. The speed limit for the tunnels are 30mph northbound and 40mph southbound. It would appear that Marlowe house have no knowledge of this and state it is TFL that have implemented it. Any offences for speeding through the tunnel would be raising funds of £100 per offence or £50 if paid promptly.

 

 

 

They have not installed signs warning drivers of this speed trap and therefore would not be looking to hit drivers with a licence endorsement, just take the money from you. I shall leave the questions why they are doing this to you to answer;. My thoughts are purely of revenue collecting.

 

 

 

Further enquiries are being made as we speak. Please be very careful if you or friends and family use the tunnel regularly. Also be mindful if you are patrolling the tunnel at any time
