brettp Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 This was a really good night the best selection of cars ive seen at a pub meet there is always a bravado exit competition at these sort of things that tends to build up momentum and usually younger drivers end up in a one upmanship competition I must admit to lively pub exits as a teenager if they will let the meet carry on what about a board by the exit with police station opposite on it might curb peoples enthusiasm I would be happy to help with getting one 5
ford fever Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 hi peeps, 1st time at the venue last night and i must say what a good venue and a selection of cars, well done paul for all your efforts for making this happen. and i must say we all love a good BURNOUT/DONUT dont we fellas, BUT not if it is going to make us loose a good venue for this great once a month meeting place to meet up with our old fords.
123escorts Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 how about we get some pics posted up of some of the cars from last night to show how busy it was and what a great job Paul done????.....
Posse Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 I was there last night what a pukka meet and what a top job Paul has done .. I am gutted for him if this meet is shut down .. I know first hand all the shit he will prob get now police knocking his door etc being held responsible for other peoples actions This i think is what goes with every car show/club fingers crossed it hasn’t screwed the meet up.
123escorts Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 think most of us have given it the beans when pullin out a meet at one time or another.........but as said before this was more than that........so wheres these pics????
Fordvet Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 Could not believe my eyes when arriving home in my ST last night. Quick change and camera at the ready, a short walk back to The Eagle rewarded with an impressive array of favourite, proper Fords. Kudos to the organisers and some cherished metal. As a long time Ford employee, it was a real delight to see in my home village. But the new rubber bumps in the A128 (40MPH by the way) when leaving for the office this morning was something I was disappointed to see. Thought Ken Block had paid a visit? Not a good call...... Fun in the wrong place.... Some damage has been done, but I hope it can be repaired. I would love to see OSF back in Kelvedon Hatch again. Just leave the excess rubber elsewhere next time please. 1
Tall paul Posted June 26, 2013 Author Report Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks for all the positive comments and feedback. Means a lot! Was an awesome night and thank you to everyone involved in it! Chris who was the OSF photographer (Haha!) will hopefully get some pics up in the event report room soon. Hopefully the meet can be salvaged due to the antics at the end of the night, I'm up for leaving 11's down the road but last night was over the top I think, especially as my car and Gary's van was on the end and felt the full brunt of tyre rubber and pebbledash from the road. Lets try and keep these meets going without the silly driving, so we all have a place to go once a month or whatever and chat shit and banter. I keep you all posted on what I find out. 2

It only takes one bloke stood at the gate asking people to leave quietly 2
ford fever Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 here here fellas but with a car like i have i cant leave quitely BUT i can leave without leaving half my tyres behind L O L ha ha 1
123escorts Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 only cos you don't want to...im sure that will leave rubber wiv the best of them fella!!!!!..lol.....was it built by norman wielding????
lhd1600e Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 well done to paul and all that sorted the meet .. looks like i left at the right time 9.00pm . i missed all the burnouts that have put our great pub meet in shit street .... let hope we dont loose it 1
ford fever Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 yes mate norman built the zephyr in 1978 and owned it for about 2 years, then my mate dave owned it for about 24yrs and i have owned it for about 10yrs, and its had a lot of mods and plenty of engine/gearbox/diff replacements since then, and lots and lots of rear tyres l o l
123escorts Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 I only ask cos my mum called me last night when I was at the meet and I mentioned that the big boys (you and the other v8 powerd cars where just coming in and when I said ford fever she knew the car and said it was one of normans.......
dbrw1 Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 Is there an easy way of putting pictures up? Got loads but not sure how to put em up?

matt_j_smith Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 gotta say.. i moved my car into the car park after it was pelted with rubber and stones a few times. mainly one guy in particular but it was more the tank slapping up the road which put me off lol!!! all my cars up until this have been drift cars.. so had a feeling sumit was gonna happen. the poor xr2 took most the stones... my saphs far from mint and a few stones dont worry me too much... a escort inbedded in it might. fair play for 'mega reactions man' in the fiesta who just missed one of the escorts pulling out! caught that on tape! either way, great turnout... would be a shame if it was moved, great location. 1
ford fever Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 yes mate dave still works @ fords in dagenham.
dbrw1 Posted June 26, 2013 Report Posted June 26, 2013 http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/dbrw1/library/ hopefully some pics
theloudboy Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 I drove past the eagle tonight in the tanker to have a look and passed 3 police cars in kelvedon hatch what a cock up and I will be speaking to paul and what went on.
Mogsmex Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 I dont normally post on here but I have been going to the Eagle for the last few meets and it was turning out to be a cracking night with some lovely cars, really hope the nobheads that turned up and ruined the night are banned, it changed the whole evening for me from an enjoyable night to me actually being embarresed to be there/drive home dunno If I'll bother again if this is the way the meets are......................
Chris standage Posted June 27, 2013 Report Posted June 27, 2013 I will try get my pictures up later when I get home, already posted on the Retards Club page but I'll add them here too
