dalmarshall Posted July 17, 2013 Author Report Posted July 17, 2013 I am being picky I know but I know there's better out there for that sort of money. Or perhaps I'm looking at it thinking I'd be putting another grand or 2 into it to get it how I want it, then im into it for 14k+. The decals are the wrong colours too lol!! I do have one lined up that's being re Commissioned after being sat in an old boys garage since 1994. It has all the right bits and it's 5 grand less than that............ So if a super duper one doesn't come along I'll be happy with that one.
dalmarshall Posted August 3, 2013 Author Report Posted August 3, 2013 The one that got away I still look at the pics and have a little cry

theloudboy Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 Ya Darren you could have had my ronals off me for it lol.
mk2 mike Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Ford-Escort-Harrier-/111121062337?roken=dJRJVd read this about the above car http://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=68076 hope it helps I don't have a log in to read that, what does it say about the car?
dustydog Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 copied this of site for you Needs quit a bit of work, trust me. For 12.5k it needs to be perfect its not. I sold her for 6k then Harry sold her for 10k to a plum, all cos of mag feature. The colour of the car is wrong. When I looked into a resto for her the fabric/welder mate said I was looking at 4k in welding then the paint. Sills have been put on wrong. 1
mk2 mike Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 Cheers! Looks nice but I'd steer well clear of that one then!
dalmarshall Posted August 5, 2013 Author Report Posted August 5, 2013 Why didn't you buy that dal??? It looks proper??? Nice number plate as well. It came up for sale on a sunday night, It was in Brum, I arranged to view on monday, sorted train ticket and arranged insurance to drive it back. I then had a call from the seller saying that someone had bought it without even looking at it. I should have done the same in hindsight but do you take that sort of gamble when it's 14k. Apparently it now forms part of a collection in a private museum!!
dalmarshall Posted August 13, 2013 Author Report Posted August 13, 2013 Been offered this today, 39k from new, 2 previous owners!! Nice but more of a collectors piece I think!!
mk2 mike Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 I can't see any pics mate, only broken links. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
bigbadsquare Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Been offered this today, 39k from new, 2 previous owners!! Nice but more of a collectors piece I think!! That's a really nice looking car mate.
dalmarshall Posted August 14, 2013 Author Report Posted August 14, 2013 Not sure, 16 might get it, maybe more. Even if I could pay 16 though I wouldn't drive it!
mk2 mike Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Lively car mate but thats one heap of money! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
dalmarshall Posted August 14, 2013 Author Report Posted August 14, 2013 I gave it some thought but its a garage ornament I think, no good to me i wanna croooooze baby
Admin Vista Posted August 14, 2013 Admin Report Posted August 14, 2013 If you buy it, it's what ever you want it to be. They were built for driving not locking away
bigbadsquare Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 I gave it some thought but its a garage ornament I think, no good to me i wanna croooooze baby It's only an ornament if you don't use it, buy it , drive it, drive it some more!!
dalmarshall Posted August 14, 2013 Author Report Posted August 14, 2013 I know what you're saying but an original car has probably got so many original parts that haven't moved for so long etc, its more money than a restored car but would need more perishables replaced before it could be used. Can a 33 yr old x flow that's done 300 miles in the last 10 years be in good shape?
frankthefencer Posted August 14, 2013 Report Posted August 14, 2013 Yep it can be. Change the oil and ignition parts then drive it!!!!! In all seriousness it's your money so your choice. The trouble is there is not many to choose from.
theloudboy Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 Dal if I could afford it I would buy it and drive it wicked motor mate.
mk2 mike Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Dal buy mine for £10k, paint it white and sticker it up as a harrier. Problem solved
